Five for Friday - Back to School

Hi, friends! This is my first Five for Friday link up!

http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2014/07/five-for-friday-linky-party-july-18.html

I'm super excited to share a few things I've been working on in my classroom!

This week, I went into school to work on my bulletin boards!  I wanted to change the paper and borders so they were all coordinating.  Here is a picture of my calendar before:

I finished changing the paper and border, but forgot to take a picture because I am still working on cutting out my new, laminated calendar set.  I will blog about my room makeover soon, so you can see the before and after pictures!

While I was at school, I also worked on my word wall!  I just loved how my layered borders turned out!  My other boards have the same lime green and black polka dot border!

If you are interested in my word wall set or number posters, check them out in my TpT store!  Just click on the pictures!

All my containers finally came!  I am in LOVE with all the bright colors, and am doing a total room makeover.  Hence, all the new tubs and baskets!  These came from a company called Romanoff Products, and they are awesome, super sturdy, and come in a variety of colors.

The large black and hot pink tubs in the back are called the 5" Stowaway Letter Box.  The lime, yellow and turquoise caddies are called the Small Utility Caddy.  The hot pink and lime green magazine boxes are called the Magazine File.

Romanoff Products has a variety of storage and organization tubs, bins and caddies in a variety of colors, but you have to order by the case, which means either 12 or 24, depending on the item.  I asked a few other teachers to order with me, so I could fill a full case of some of the items.  It was great, because we were able to split the cost of freight, which was a bit, considering we had six cases shipped!

This week, my hubby and I worked on priming and painting my old filing cabinet!  Friends, it looked ROUGH, including contact paper across the top!

We sanded, primered and painted it black!  I will post some after shots soon, once the paint dries and I can put the drawers back!

AND speaking of my hubby... Yesterday, we celebrated our 4th anniversary!  He is my rock, my best friend and my biggest fan and supporter!

This is one of my favorite shots from our wedding!  Shhh!  Don't tell the hubby!  He doesn't like this picture!

So what have you been working on for back to school?

    1. Thank you, Christy! I almost used black fadeless paper too, but didn't think my letter cards would stand out as well. Don't tell my hubby about the picture! :)

  6. I love the containers you got. I am looking into ordering some, but I was wondering how you ordered since they require a company name and tax id number. Thank you.

    1. Hi, Megan! I used my school's name and tax ID number! I just had to scan and email a copy of the tax ID number certificate from our school. Remember, you will have to order an entire case of each item you choose. Hope this helps!
