Teaching about President's Day is one of my favorite themes to teach in February... so much so that I've already prepped my math and literacy centers, as well as our Abraham and George Washington poems!  I wanted to get a head start since I know that this coming week will be busy with our 100th day celebration and Valentine's Day party.  Here's a little sneak peek into our math and literacy tubs:

I know my kiddos are going to shout, "Hip, Hip, Hooray, It's President's Day!"

Plus, I prepped our poems about Abraham and George Washington!  Putting facts to a little jingle helps my kiddos so much!

Then, we are going to make these fun brochures with the facts we learned in each poem!  Take that, Common Core Informational Writing standard!
