100th Day Fun & FREEBIE Links

Happy Saturday, friends! We are celebrating my niece's and mother-in-law's birthdays today, but I wanted to share all of our 100th Day fun since I promised I would be back! I actually set up eight centers for this day, which took us pretty much all day to complete!

100th DAY AUTOGRAPH BOOKS

Before completing our 100th Day centers, all of the Kindergarten classrooms gathered in the gym to collect 100 autographs from our friends! Each kiddo brought their autograph booklet and a pen to the gym. Before heading to the gym, I modeled how to approach a friend and ask for his/her autograph. Once in the gym, the kiddos walked around asking for autographs. I'm telling you... this is the best and easiest activity! The kiddos were so engaged that we spent at least a good 30-40 minutes collecting signatures. Plus, it's great name writing practice!

100TH DAY CROWNS

At the first station, the kiddos made a 100 Days Smarter crown. This was a last minute creation that I whipped up the night before. First, the kiddos colored the school house and sequenced the numbers by 10's. I used strips of construction paper cut 3" x 18".

Then, I measured around their heads and stapled. The school house added just enough length so that the crown fit perfectly around their heads.

100TH DAY COLLECTIONS

For station number two, we counted our 100th Day collections. First, we counted them by 1's using this counting mat I whipped up a few years ago.

Then, we flipped the mat over and grouped our collections by 10's.

100TH DAY GUMBALL MACHINE

At the third station, we created the ever-so-popular 100 gumball machine! The 100 gumball dots was yet another creation I whipped up a couple years ago. It provided the support my kinders needed to help them keep track of how many gumballs they made!

I just love their finished gumball machines, and they just love using the bingo dotters while making them!

100TH DAY PATTERN BLOCKS

For station number four, we created the number 100 using pattern blocks. You guessed it! I whipped this little ditty up the night before! Then, we recorded how many of each shape we used to make the number 100.

100TH DAY NECKLACE

At the fifth station, we used our "100th Day Necklace" work mat to count our Fruit Loops in sets of 10.

Then, we strung them on a piece of curling ribbon... which I might add was way better than yarn, since it didn't fray! Thank you for the tip, Teeny Tiny Teacher! Plus, this little sweetie came up with a clever way to keep the Fruit Loops from sliding off the other side. She's such a little problem solver!

I actually bought the generic Fruit Loops from Wal-mart, and they worked out just fine! I didn't pre-bag any of the supplies, because I wanted the kiddos to create their necklaces using any colors for the sets of 10. Some of my sweeties made them rainbow necklaces, while others chose to create a pattern.

100TH DAY PLACE MAT

For station number six, we used our "100 place mat" to stamp 10 groups of 10 stamps. This past year, I found sheets of 100 stickers at the teaching store... so the kiddos placed 10 stickers in each space.

100TH DAY ROLL & COLOR

At station seven, we used this "Roll and Color" sheet from Sam Van Gorp to practice our addition skills! I gave each kiddo two dice and showed them how to add by counting on from the bigger number.

100TH DAY RACE TO 100

At the last station, we played a fun "Race to 100" game from Traci Bender at The Bender Bunch. Each kiddo played with a partner. Some of the kiddos used one game board with a different color teddy bear for each player. Each player started on the number zero, rolled the die, and moved forward that many spaces. The first person to make it to the number 100 was the winner! So much fun!

100 YEARS OLD

We also dressed up like we were 100 years old! I wish I could show you some of the kiddos. They were a hoot! You can find my wig, glasses and strap on Amazon. My curlers are legit from my grandma, but I found similar ones here. The dress, sweater and shoes came from our local Goodwill.

100TH DAY 100 CUP STRUCTURE

Plus, we worked as a team to build the tallest structure using 100 plastic cups... an oldie but a goodie!

My kiddos had so much fun on the 100th Day! It took a little prep on my part to get all of the activities ready, but it was so worth it! I made all of my copies the day before, and then placed each activity in a separate tub so that we were all ready to go!

You can find all of the activities I created, including the gumball machine with numbered dots, and MORE in my 100th Day Center Activities and Craftivities pack on TpT!

  5. Hi Ashley - Love all your wonderful ideas. Thanks for the links and photos. If possible, I would love the gumball sheet because we use a real gumball machine in class and every day, since day one, we guess which color will come out. (We never eat them, of course. Too old and yucky!) This worksheet would be a wonderful addition to our 100th day activities on Tuesday. Thanks, in advance, if you're able to upload to share. :)
