Five for Friday - Random Fall Fun

TGIF, friends!  I'm linking up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2014/10/five-for-friday-linky-party-october-10th.html

This week, we learned all about fire safety and began our new fall centers!

On Monday, I introduced the kiddos to this fun Extinguish the Letters/Sounds game!  I called out a letter or sound, and the students had a blast trying to be the first one to "extinguish the letter" by slapping it with the fire extinguisher!

It's from my I Can Read October Poetry Binder, which you can read all about here!

Plus, we played a "sizzling" sight word game, completed this Firefighter Circle Map,

Grab it for FREE here!
AND, in the words of one of my sweet students, we got to meet a real, live firefighter!

This week, I changed my centers out to include some fall fun!  Here's a sneak peek at what's in a few of our center tubs.

We practiced making five with our double-sided counters, tracing and graphing shapes, as well as analyzing data, rhyming, and identifying color words.

Don't forget to check out this post to see why C is a magic letter!

The kiddos were super intrigued by this lesson!  I can't wait to share it with all of you!

My sweet friends, Karen and Kelly, from Kennedy's Korner are celebrating a major TpT milestone with a giveaway!  Just look at all these fabulous bloggers who contributed to the celebration!

The giveaway ends tomorrow, so you still have time to enter!

And for number five, I leave you with another fun find!  I grabbed these Halloween erasers from the One Spot at Target!  They were only $1.00 for 50 erasers!  Plus, I am planning to use them as math manipulatives, game markers, and sound chips in some Halloween themed elkonin boxes.

I hope you found some randomness you could use in your classroom!  Enjoy your weekend!
